The Junior Varsity Football Team are currently 5-1. They’ve played Olney, Robinson, Casey, Marshall, Lawrenceville, and Newton beating everyone but Marshall. Playing a total of nine games, “JV hasn’t had this record in five years” says Scott Warren.
The toughest team JV has played so far is Lawrenceville. The team says their motivation is going to the playoffs. When asking the team how having a good record makes them feel, they replied with great. They enjoy having their fellow classmates backing them on in the stands.
Before every game, teammates chant before running out onto the field and then form a prayer circle. The coach’s attitudes towards the team make them feel confident and want to win more. “With corrections from the coaches, the boys improve their skills and abilities to play harder” according to Cameron Eckelberry.
