During the 2024 Horticulture plant sale the Flora High School sold an array of things from, Petunias, Celosia, Coleus, Begonias, Geraniums, and even more! 

Mrs.Troyer said, “We had a lot of people in attendance! We are very grateful for your support.” They made enough money to cover all of their expenses, and implement some new ideas for the greenhouse next year.

When it comes to producing them they buy plugs, re-pot them all, label, price, water maintain and then they sell them. During this process Mrs.Troyer’s students learn the basic skills needed to care for plants. 

To decide what plants to produce they look into a picture catalog;’ they have already started planning for next year.

When asked about preparing for next year,  Mrs.Troyer said she starts “…now. I just purchased some seeds for next year this morning.” 

They have some plans for a bigger growing space, stating “We will see how it goes.
