It costs a lot of money to go to college these days, fortunately, the graduating class of 2024 accumulated $1,020,700 in scholarships among the 81 high school graduates.
Sunday, May 12 at 2 o’clock eighty-one seniors and 5 foreign exchange students walked across the stage of Conley Gymnasium in one final goodbye.
The students honored at the ceremony with the top 10 GPAs are Logan Atwood, Madilyn Ayers, Ella Borcherdine, Madalynn Edwards, Mallory Lovett Katelin Muskopf, Emery Oesh, Jayden Sloan, Madyson Slover, and Jebee Tucker.
Jebee Tucker, the Salutatorian, gave the class history, allowing the seniors to relive some of their favorite memories.
The valedictorian, Katie Muskopf, gave a speech encouraging her classmates to stay positive and telling her peers to not let the hard times in life overshadow the good.
Sadly, one senior could not attend his graduation. Robert Green was killed in a tragic car accident October 22, 2023. In his honor, his classmates each placed a flower in a basket during the processional. As a remembrance, his parents received an honorary diploma on his behalf.
