Working out the kinks for the upcoming season, the Flora Wolfgals volleyball team attended Salem League tournaments every Wednesday over the summer. The team’s record ended up being 3-3 by the end of the summer.
Volleyball captain Alexis Waller describes Salem League as, “a great experience for younger players and a way to overcome bad habits. Also, it’s a good way to recognize other teams’ skills and improve your own.”
Led by coach Jessica Holloway, nine volunteer players once again competed in the Salem tournaments. This is Coach Holloway’s second year as a varsity head coach, but this is not the first time Flora has participated in the tournaments. Salem League is a tradition that girls volleyball has been a part of for many years.
