Until this year,  junior high and high school students knew Mr. Geb Borders as Officer Borders, School Resource Officer. This year, he has a new title: Homework Police. 

 Borders chose to go into Law Enforcement because it is quite popular in his family history. He also loves helping people and can truly say he enjoyed his time with the Flora Police Department

After retirement, he decided to take on a new job within the school district. He is currently a paraprofessional at Floyd Henson Jr High School. He chose to apply for this position because of all the friendships he made throughout our district. On a normal school day, he spends his time with his seven study halls, lunch duty, and being the missing work police.

Borders decided to pursue his new career because he is “too young to sit on the couch” he said. He loves the great hours with this profession, being able to spend lots of time with his family, and also, watching all the Flora sports. Borders loves watching all the athletes play and is hoping for a wonderful, healthy season for every team.

After many years of working in the law enforcement and lots of experience with the youth, the advice he wants to share to the current seniors is to” remember no matter the situation you live in the greatest country on Earth and get ready to rock and roll.”
