FHS Homecoming week, hosted by the Student Council, is scheduled for Oct. 6 -11. It begins on Monday with Spirit Week where the students express their school spirit with different themes each day. Themes will be assigned later in the month.
On Wednesday, Oct. 8, the annual bonfire will begin at 8. It will include class competitions where the school can fight it out to see which class has more strength and school spirit. After that, the football team and the Homecoming court lead the student body to the bonfire where they will burn a symbol of the opponent’s mascot.
On Friday, the Homecoming Parade will begin at 4:30, starting at Flora Depot and ending at the American Legion. The football game will begin at 7 p.m. and Flora will be playing against Casey- Westfield. The Homecoming court will be announced at half-time.
The Homecoming dance will be held in the Flora High School gym on Saturday Sept. 11 from 7-11.
