The Wolves junior varsity football team finished their season with a record of 5 wins and 3 loses. Coach Scott Warren said, “Olney was a huge win.” The Wolves beat East Richland, 24-14.
Warren also said Edwards County was a big win to the boys because it was a shutout.
The JV team was proud to beat the Robinson Maroons, because they have such a good football program. The score of the Flora-Robinson game was 52-6.
The toughest loss was Paris with a score of 26-32. Warren says this loss was the toughest because Paris was a very dirty team and the Wolves led for most of the game.
Coach Warren also said Dylan Bible and Dawson Goldstein were the most valuable players this year. Goldstein was the quarterback and Bible was Goldstein’s main target. Together this pair had multiple touchdowns.
Warren says “We are looking for many JV players to impact next season’s varsity team.” Most of the varsity starters are expected to return, but this year’s JV players will give the varsity team a lot of options in a lot of positions. “That is huge in the game of football as numbers are so very important.”
