FFA attends Farm Progress Show

By Millennium Beland

Fourteen Flora FFA students attended the Farm Bureau Show in Decatur, Illinois on Wednesday August 30.

Students experienced the new farm equipment for the future farmers like them. They hope to take this experience and use it in their future in college and in their careers.

For Mckenzie Wheeler, “It was a good eye opener for me, it gave me good insight on what I want to do for my career. I also talked to several colleges and they gave me a better understanding for my future in agriculture.” Wheeler hopes to study agriculture in college after she graduates high school, and use what she learns in her future.

Junior Jada McKnelly said, she learned so much and hopes to study agriculture, and use what she learns in her career. “It was a lot of fun walking around and seeing all the colleges, and trying the Monsanto sweet corn and the watermelon.”
