The FHS Athletic Dept. held a spring fundraiser Friday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Harry Penry Auditorium at the Flora High School.
Former US Navy Seal and author of SEAL of God Chad Williams shared his personal experience in the Navy and communicated the power of sacrifice and leadership through his story.
Chad Williams’ goal of becoming a Navy SEAL encouraged him to enter the military’s toughest training. One hundred seventy three men vowed to complete the training, but only 13 ended up graduating, including Chad.
Chad inspired many people that attended the presentation. Junior Raegen Welty stated, “He was very motivational about doing what you want to do in your life.”
Today, he is a bestselling author and guest stars on many news channels. Chad uses his military experience to educate others of what the experience of the Navy, provides skills in becoming an effective leader, and over all motivation in life.
