Thanks to business Club, sponsored by Ms. Westjohn, students now have a new place to enjoy lunch with their friends. For two years Business Club collected plastic lids to send to a company that then makes them into the picnic table. The new table, located in front of the school, arrived over the summer.
The group is currently working toward another table. They have collected 600 pounds, and still need 300 more.
Business Club has also started their annual Penny Drive, in which members collect change for the local Clay County Food Pantry. The penny drive lasts about 6 weeks and ends in September. Last year they collected around $250.
