Making history in Flora High School’s Conley Gym Monday night, January 5, the Flora Wolfgals basketball team defeated Lady Wooden Shoes from Teutopolis for the first time ever with a win of 35-33.
With the Wolfgals down by 10 points at halftime, 9-19, the irritation filled the locker room.
“We were all frustrated with each other, but we used the time at halftime to calm down,” stated senior Wolfgal Bria Krutsinger.
They certainly calmed down enough to bring the game to a tie towards the end of the 4th quarter. With 5 seconds left on the clock, Crimson Jones went up for the shot and made it, bringing the game to an end and adding another win to the Wolfgals win column.
