Frosh/Soph Wolves victorious in first game of season

By Raegen Welty and Caitlin Moats
The Fresh/Soph Wolves football team opened the season by defeating the Marshall Lions 14-8 last Saturday, Aug. 26.
According to Assistant Coach Scott Warren, the Wolves knew it would be a tough game, as they lost to Marshall last year.
Concerning the rest of the season, Warren stated, “Robinson will be hard to beat because, they have a very good sophomore class.
Because of the low numbers in the freshman class, they face juniors at practice, which makes fresh/soph games easier.
Coach Warren stated “It’s important to take advantage of the games because Casey and Lawrenceville don’t have enough kids for fresh/soph games.”
The Wolves were defeated by the Robinson Maroons on Monday, Sept. 4. They will face Lawrenceville at Lawrenceville on Sept. 18, where they hope to improve their record to 2-1.
