Student Council sponsored their annual fall blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Their goal was 65 productive units. They didn’t quite meet the goal, falling short by a few units. Just one unit of blood can help save three people’s lives. One in every ten people need blood when entering a hospital, so every unit they received counts. The next blood drive will be held on April 13, 2016.
Student council officers Sarah Conrad, Caitlyn Hall, Breann Beckham, Trevor White, Jayci McCraw, and Brandon Burkett worked the blood drive.
Anyone could give blood from the community, but if one was 16 years of age they needed to fill out a parent permission form.
