Field day is always one of the best days to end the year for FHS, and this year was no different.
This year’s field day started with a bang as the Seniors won their last campfire games.
Then came the Balloon Pop as competitors had to carry the balloon down the gym with it between their heads and then pop it without using their hands. The Juniors got the best of the other classes in this event.
The Inflatable Dance Battle was next as the Senior Makenna Hackney showed off her moves to win in a squirrel inflatable.
The Air Mattresses were flying all over the Gym floor as the Air Mattress Race took place. When each team had to slide on the air mattresses all the way down the court.
There was a 4 way tug of war to show off the strength of the classes. But the strength battle didn’t end there as there was also a normal 10 vs 10 tug of war.
Many looked like penguins as they competed in the balloon waddle, having to take the balloon down the gym floor between their legs then popping it.
The balloons kept flying but not popping because next was the balloon catch. Competitors had to blow up a balloon and let the air out as their partner tried to catch it.
The last group game in the gym was the Inflatable Costume Basketball. Each class had one representative put on an Inflatable costume trying to race across the gym and make a basket.
After the group games in the gym everyone split up and went to whichever station of fun they wanted.
The flag football group walked to the football practice field as everyone else stayed at the school.
In the big gym was dodgeball for anyone who wanted to play and in the small gym was pickleball and 9-square.
Everything else was in the commons. There was a photo booth, Karaoke, grab the mic, board games, and pictionary.
Although Field Day couldn’t be outside this year, it was still a really fun and enjoyable day for all of FHS.
