By Jacob Pruitt Mrs. Jackie Sloan has re-established the Art Club at Flora High School after a year of inactivity. The first official meeting will be held Tuesday Sept. 16 from 3:30 – 4:30. Sloan’s goals for the year include: an art show open to the students as well as the public. They will also create another mural at The Gym downtown sometime throughout the year. They hope to hold many social events for the members throughout the year. There is a $3 fee to join the club, sign up sheets are in the front office of FHS. Sloan says, “all are welcome. Everyone has the potential to create beautiful artwork; you just have to use your creative imagination and take your time.”
