As the FHS track season starts soon, one runner has already begun competing. This weekend FHS Junior Brady Lindholm ran a half-marathon in St. Louis.
Brady has been running for a while now as he “started in sixth grade” but really “picked up in eighth grade.”
Running is a punishment for a lot of people, but for Brady he just does it “mainly for fun” but also “hopes it will pay for college”
Brady will run “two to four times a week” if not daily. Brady loves to use “music and nature” to get him through all this running.
As for the Half-Marathon Brady finished “2nd in [his] age group.” But he believes that finishing the marathon is an “achievement in itself.”
Brady will be part of the track team this year as he participates in the “half mile, mile, two mile, and long distance relay” but won’t be running any marathons during the season as he says that “is a good way to get injured.”
Brady doesn’t believe that he will run another half-marathon “before track season” but does expect to “run a full marathon this summer.”
Goals are a great thing to have, and it’s even better when you have multiple. Well, Brady has them all as he would like to “break 4:45 in a mile and 10:45 in the two mile.”
All in all Brady loves running and he brings talent and determination to the FHS team.
