The softball season is already back into swing and they are already practicing for their first game. Senior Maddie Moore is expecting their season to have a “.500 record” and an exciting season.
Moore is one of the five seniors on the team this year. She also gets to be some of the first to wear the new varsity uniforms they got from a fundraiser this year. Moore tells us she’s most excited about “the new uniforms and getting one more year to play softball.”
Moore is sad that this is her last year since she won’t play again. She also says for her senior year the hardest competition will be St. Anthony or Effingham.
Their practices started February 23, and Moore mentioned the practices they have been “getting back into routine and making the freshmen comfortable. Practices have also been really long.”
Their first game will be played on March 17 against Mt. Carmel at 4:30.
